Although in his Autobiography his first recording session took place May 21st, 1955 when he cut Maybellene and Wee Wee Hours for Chess Records in Chicago, Chuck Berry appears on this single in 1954 playing guitar.
At the time, Chuck Berry was using the name Berryn in performances around St. Louis to avoid embarassing his father who was a deacon at the Antioch Baptist Church.
